M.O.P.S.
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, but our doors are open from when you get pregnant through when your child is in Kindergarten. Moms from ALL backgrounds are welcome! MOPS is a non denominational Christian organization, but you do not need to be a churchgoer or from a specific denomination to join MOPS. The vision of MOPS is to see no mom alone -- because better moms make a better world!

what to expect
We meet most 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from September through March. Join us from 6:30-8:00 pm at Faith Community Church in Maquoketa. Our first meeting is September 8, 2022 but feel free to jump in at any time!
MOPS meetings include practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations, and videos. Sometimes we get a little crafty, sometimes we get a little crazy, but we always have fun! Plus, there's food! But more importantly, you'll get to have honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood. Childcare is provided if you need it!

MOPS kids
Children enjoy a safe, clean, and stimulating environment while moms enjoy the company of other mothers. All ages will be shown love and care by these wonderful volunteers. All adult volunteers have undergone background checks.
Newborns are welcome in the meeting with their mother, or you can leave them with childcare and step out to nurse as needed. Once your child is crawling or walking around, we ask that you let our childcare team care for them during meetings. You are welcome to check on them whenever needed.
If you know you are bringing your child, please let us know ahead of time, if possible. If it's last minute, please come anyway and bring your child along.
MOPS membership
You are welcome to check us out for free! When you visit for the second time, if you plan to keep attending, we do ask that you pay a membership fee. We are a chartering ministry of MOPS International, membership cost is $32/year. You can register at one of our meetings (checks payable to Faith Community Church) or register online at mops.org/join. Contact us for our group code; you can call the church at (563)652-3373 or email us at
As a member, you can connect face-to-face and heart to-heart with other moms while your kids are cared for and you get to eat food you didn't have to prepare! MOPS International will also mail you a quarterly magazine, give you access to more online, and send you encouraging emails and texts (if desired).
